Is Your Foam Safe and Free of Chemicals?

Foam is Everywhere!

It’s in your car, in your furniture, under your carpet and in your bed, but is it safe? Today's consumer cares about what's inside the products they buy and that trend is growing. With tainted toothpaste, unsafe toys, deadly dog food no one can be surprised with what chemicals and harmful substances are found in imported foam products and mattresses.

News coverage about contaminated products has put the public on high alert about what they buy for themselves and their families. Even though these stories are not on the front page anymore, there is media coverage and consumer concern about 'toxic' furniture and 'hazardous' bedding.

Is your foam toxic free? Look for the CertiPUR™ seal.

What is the CertiPUR™ program?

This voluntary testing, analysis and certification program was developed by members of the global foam industry in response to an increase in substandard imported foams. CertiPUR™ tests for durability, content and indoor emissions. CertiPUR™ is an extension of the European CertiPUR™ program developed in 2002 by EUROPUR, the association of European flexible polyurethane foam block manufacturers. Products such as upholstered furniture and mattresses, that carry the CertiPUR™ seal contain flexible polyurethane foams that have been tested and certified by an independent laboratory to meet specific criteria for physical performance, indoor emissions and environmental stewardship.

You don't have to sleep with a gas mask!

Koosh Natural, a Foamite brand, is Certified Pure and carries the CertiPUR™ seal of compliance. Our mattress covers meet the OEKO-TEX100 European Standard. Based on extensive laboratory testing they are free from harmful materials and substances. The Natural Alternative is available at Foamite.
CertiPUR certification is based on:
  • Standardized chemical analysis
  • Emissions evaluation
  • Environmental guidelines
  • Physical performance testing
  • Pledges of compliance
  • Random compliance verification
