EcoComfort Quilted Mattress Cover

Our EcoComfort green cover is a natural textile made from the wood pulp cellulose, known as TENCEL, and bamboo grass.

This cover is highly elastic and very flexible; therefore, it works well with memory foam type mattresses.

It stretches to take the shape of your body and then returns to the original shape of the core. This is an ecological product that is made with materials that are 100% biological.

The production process is also free from substances that could damage your health or the environment. These types of fabrics are for people that think beyond comfort and design.

Free from harmful materials & substances

Natural eco-friendly fabrics have been growing in popularity because they have many unique properties and are more sustainable than most textile fibres. They are soft as silk, strong as polyester, cool as linen, warm as wool, more absorbent than cotton and to some extent antibacterial.

Living healthy and managing our Planet's natural resources has become the focus of an ever-growing number of people. Needless to say that these aspects have become more important; especially, when buying products that are closely related to a healthy night's sleep. After all, there is nothing better than sleeping in a healthy and clean environment while at the same time having a clean conscious about a healthy environment.

Great when combined with other Eco-friendly options

Foamite recognized this consumer need several years ago and reacted well before other mattress manufacturers thought it was popular to do so. In 1994, we introduced the world's best all natural latex rubber to Canada. In 2007, we introduced Koosh Natural, the world's first soy-based HR foam.

This was followed by a natural soy-based memory foam and Koosh ViscoGel - bio-based memory foam with cool swirls of Gel. Our iFoam BB natural has the highest certified natural content of any foam on the planet. They all can be used in combination with our EcoComfort cover to give you some of the best eco-friendly options that are presently available in today's marketplace.

The quality of our EcoComfort cover is very evident; especially, when you compare it side by side with other stretch cotton mattress tickings that are commonly used in stores. Some bamboo fabric that is favored by companies trying to use sustainable textiles is very thin and the bamboo content is almost non-existent. These plant based eco-fabrics work very well when they are the proper thickness and made from the right amount of natural ingredients.

Fabric Made with Bamboo Grass

In textile form, bamboo retains many of the properties it has as a plant. Bamboo is highly water absorbent, able to take up three times its weight in water. In bamboo fabric, this translates to an excellent wicking ability that will pull moisture away from the skin so that it can evaporate. For this reason, clothing made of bamboo fibre is often worn next to the skin.

Bamboo also has many antibacterial qualities, which bamboo fabric is apparently able to retain, even through multiple washings. This helps to reduce bacteria that thrive on clothing and cause unpleasant odors. It can also kill odor causing bacteria that live on human skin, making the user smell better.
